Hi everyone,
As many of you may already be aware, Krystal and my brother Michael have been through the ups and downs, highs and lows of 3 unsuccessful IVF rounds over the past year. With some encouragement from myself and other family members, they are sharing their story. Please read this letter from Krystal. Any kind thoughts, prayers, or donations are now being accepted in preparation for their next (and potential final) round of IVF at Olive Fertility Clinic. Another way to donate directly is to Krystal's email gwen-dolyn at hotmail .com
From Krystal:
My name is Krystal, and my partner Michael and I are sharing something deeply personal and close to our hearts. For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of becoming a mom. Michael and I have spent years trying to make that dream come true, and it’s been the hardest and most emotional journey of our lives.
We’ve already been through three full rounds of IVF — one here in Canada and two in the Czech Republic. Each time, we went in with hope and love, believing this could finally be the one. We’ve experienced the heartbreak that comes with every negative result, but also the strength that comes from picking ourselves back up and trying again.
Traveling overseas for treatment was a huge leap of faith. We poured our hearts, time, and savings into those cycles, and while they didn’t bring us the outcome we hoped for, they reminded us just how much we want this — how ready we are to continue this journey.
Now, we’ve decided to try one more round of IVF here in Canada. It’s not easy to ask for help, but after everything we’ve been through, our family and friends have encouraged us to share our story and let others be part of our journey. The costs of IVF are overwhelming, and we’ve already invested so much — emotionally, physically, and financially.
If you’re able to contribute in any way, no matter how small, we would be forever grateful. Every bit of support brings us one step closer to our dream of becoming parents. And even if you can’t give financially, your love, prayers, and shares of our story mean more to us than you’ll ever know.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading, for caring, and for giving us hope.
With love,
Krystal & Michael
