Hi my name is Michael Moriarty, this go fund me is to try and raise money for any alternative treatments that I might be able to get. I was diagnosed on Christmas Eve 2020 with stage 4 bowel cancer with segment 5 liver mets and indeterminate right upper lobe lung nodule. I then had to have a stoma bag fitted before I started 6 cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy with FOLFOX. I had a scan after that which showed no change in liver and a reduction in largest lung module, and a slight reduction in primary tumour so I was then moved onto radiotherapy. I had to have 6 weeks of that which I finished on the 23rd June 2021. I had to wait until September to have a scan to see what the results were after radiotherapy, the results weren’t too good there was a slight reduction again in my primary tumour but my liver and lung went bigger. So now I am going to receive 6 cycles of FOLFIRI chemotherapy in the hope that it shrinks, because they have said if they go bigger then they will stop treatment. I know that I have got the fight in me to fight this, I need to for my family and my 2 young children, there’s so much that we haven’t done yet. So that’s why I have been looking into alternative treatments to fight this cancer completely. Any donations would be greatly appreciated thank you so much.
