Michael and family get through these harsh times.

Hello, my name is Michael O'Connor, and I am fundraising, so my family doesn't go homeless and more hugely into debt. Let me tell you guys what happened. In the middle of July I was hit and ran away from while riding my motorcycle back from the convenience store grabbing some candy for my girlfriend and I. This accident shattered my right leg. Broken femur, fibula tibula and left the cartledge from my knee on the street next to me after cartwheeling 150 feet to an oh so painful stop. Due to having a non existant knee I cannot put any weight on it at all. Due to not being able to put any weight on my knee means that I cannot run my business that I started only 3 years ago.(just started to take off too). And due to not being able to run a business I am 3 months behind on my rent and the cupboards are getting emptier and emptier every day that passes. Totally broke. I cannot afford to be evicted from my home due to my youngest daughter Shelby is establishing roots in the community that we reside in and actually really enjoys high school. Not to mention said high school is only one block away from our house. Keep in mind that it is a difficult task to even get a teenager up and off to school on a daily basis, to like it, or to stay interested and getting decent grades so I dont dare ever move her out of this high schools jurisdiction. It would kill me to lose my little girls love and respect, especially for something like this. My orthopedic surgeon tells me that this is to be a long hard road to recovery anywhere from 36 months to even longer depending on how well I take care of it? Once all the steel rods, pins plates in my leg are looking like they are healing properly without any sign of infection then I go in for artificial knee surgery so that I can start learning how to properly walk again. Thank the gods above for an understanding and empathetic landloard for letting me slide for as long as I have but he isnt going to understand forever. I am trying to file for disability which is extreamly difficult these days and I do have an attorney working on a lawsuit to try and reclaim some of the lost funds from not working for 3 years but that wont go through until pretty much all of my surgerys and physical therepies are done with so that everything can all be added to the lump some amount that we sue for; This whole thing is absolutely the worst thing that I have gone through and I really hope and pray that it doesnt get any worse. A nightmare that I wouldnt wish upon my worst enemy. We really DO need it and without it we might not make it?....Almost forgot about the totalled triumph motorcycle that was brand new to me?
