Help Michael and Carrie with a medical emergency
Donation protected
My name is Emily. I’m raising money for my friends, Mike and Carrie Fairchild. Mike had been feeling ill this last week and after many many blood tests/EKGs/CAT scans/ultrasounds, he has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He has been in the emergency room and hospital for several days now.
Congestive heart failure is a chronic condition with no cure. Mike’s heart cannot pump blood well enough to meet his body’s needs. There are treatments and lifestyle changes that can help slow the progression of the disease, but Mike is still in the early stages with his diagnosis and is being watched closely.
Mike is currently in the hospital in Eugene, about an hour away from the family’s home in Corvallis. Carrie is commuting daily.
They were also told today that Mike will need his aortic valve replaced in the next couple of months.
Health insurance will be a help, but will not cover everything, of course. It will still be a struggle for Carrie and Mike’s family in the coming months.
Please help if you are able. Anything will certainly help ease some portion of the financial burden of their situation.
