Micah's Inaugural Ball trip
Donation protected

Hi, I'm Ashanda. Our son, Micah McCants is an exceptional young man. As the oldest of our seven homeschooled children, he is extremely helpful, responsible, intelligent, and gifted. For the last 2 years, he has participated in two orchestras: Miami Music Project and South Florida Youth Symphony, studying the cello. At 10 years old, he is one of the youngest students in South Florida Youth Symphony's: [Symphony] orchestra, playing alongside teenagers.
This year, the organization has been given the opportunity to play at an Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC and witness the Inauguration of the 45th President of the United States. With seven children, our family has made tremendous sacrifices to educate our children at home. We are greatly humbled by this opportunity for our son and would like your assistance in getting the two of us to Washington, D.C. in January.
If you knew Micah personally, you would understand how much this means to us. He is a remarkable boy, who willingly sacrifices for his family, helping to carry his weight at home without complaining. At ten years old, he is the most responsible young man I know, focusing on his school work, music and objectives in life. We are so proud of him and want to give him this opportunity. Please support Micah by sending him to the White House with his orchestra.
Below, is a video of his recent performance in Miami with South Florida Youth Symphony at the historic Lyric Theater which gained local attention with Channel 7 news. I have also included a link to SFYS website: South Florida Youth Symphony if you would like to know more information about the organization. Also, an article about SFYS's trip to Washington. South Florida Youth Symphony in the news .
So far, we have raised $500.00 toward the $2000.00 cost it will take for the two of us to get there. We will need additional money for proper clothing, during the winter as well as meals while we are there. I'm hoping we will be able to reach our donation goal of $2500.00 for this trip. We have less than two months to meet our goal, as the money will need to be turned in by the end of December. We can't tell you how grateful we are to everyone who has and who will support our son. Just having the opportunity to be present at the Inaguration is a once-in-a-lifetime experience we want him to have. Thank you for your support. Please share if you know someone who would like to support young kids accomplishing great things, like Micah!
Sincerely,
Aaron and Ashanda McCants
