Hello, my name is Micaela and I have been nominated to attend the 2017 International Scholar Laureate Program (ISLP) in my choice of Australia, China, New Zealand, or South Africa. Its a chance for me to engage in a career-focused study detailing the history and global impact of my field, while broadening my horizons in a foreign culture. It is a great honor to be a delegate representing Phi Theta Kappa and The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement honor societies. Though, I'm not sure if I can go..it would require a great deal of funding. It is my hope that through hard work and the help of those around me, that I can make this dream of mine a reality! If I am able to travel, I would hope to study engineering and technology in China, while observing professionals  and networking with peers. There, I can gain understanding of how to apply the knowledge I will learn in my future career of the Fine Arts. It would be a once in a lifetime experience that I would carry with me for the rest of my life! This is my dream and I would greatly appreciate any help in achieving it! Here's hoping!
