Micaela’s Road to recovery

On May 11,2019  ..17 year old Micaela was struck by a car crossing the street.This caused a  severe Traumatic Brain injury and brain embolism  which  she had removed and three plates put in her head. she has multi. fractures including scapula, pelvis, and skull  with paralysis and weakness .She had a trach and feeding tube. We  her family and friends banded together hoping she would make it due to her severe injuries and TBI. Her mom Christina had  to leave her job to be with her at the trauma hospital and doesn’t get paid . She has finally started to show signs of stabilization and has been working daily on her many needs for her  physical and mental injuries for healing. It will be a Long road to recovery . We are starting g this go fund me to help with her many post trauma hospital bills and needs .. including rehabilitation, nursing, ambulance transportation as she is not able to walk yet , doctor appointments, thousands of dollars in copays ,medication and therapies that help her brain heal and relearn many simple things we take for granted..the house will need handicapped modifications for the bathroom and entrance and exit . Her mom Christina has to stay with her for  daily needs , safety  and assistance on this long road to recovery and cannot work at this time .We greatly appreciate any contribution to help with the massive medical needs to getting Micaela back to a healthy and new life that a TBI entails .,
