Hello everyone! My name is Miau, and I am a 3 years old male cat. I have been a fighter since I was a baby and I've already won one of life's greatest battles, surviving the very first weeks of life, alone, after being rejected by my birth mother! Thanks to my strength and willingness to live, and to my human family's support and care, I grew up to be this beautiful and happy big cat! But lately I haven't been very lucky.
I've fallen ill some weeks ago ... and nobody knew for sure what was the matter with me. I did several clinical exams and analyzes, and meanwhile I was hospitalized due to my labored breathing.
The diagnosis came later, and had left me and my family devastated! Besides having tested Positive for FELV, I was also diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a very serious and deadly disease caused by a rare mutation in the Feline Corona Virus. Until very recently, FIP was considered fatal (with a mortality rate of 99%). But luckily a treatment came up that can save me! This treatment has had a high success rate, however, it is extremely expensive and my family cannot afford it!
The treatment consists of an injection a day, for 84 days, and we will need lots of vials of the antiviral drug - GS441524! As if this wasn't bad enough already, I still managed to be even more "lucky" to have one of the most rare and severe forms of the disease, Pleural and Ocular PIF, and I will need a higher dosage, which means more vials, and more costs. Each vial costs around 70 € and I will need approximately 45!
Knowing that this treatment exists, neither I nor my family will give up to try! I never did, and my family will try everything they can to help me win this new battle! If there is hope, we run after it! Together, I will be able to win again!
That's why I'm here, asking for the help and contribution of all those who want to, and are capable of helping me win this fight! Any sharing and help, however small, is more than welcome and we will be forever grateful (from the bottom of our hearts)! ❤️

Olá a todos! O meu nome é Miau e faço 4 aninhos no dia 15 de junho! Sou um lutador desde bébé e já venci uma das grandes batalhas da vida, ao sobreviver sozinho às primeiras semanas de vida, depois de ser rejeitado pela minha mãe biológica! Graças à minha força e vontade de viver, e aos cuidados da minha família humana, cresci e tornei-me neste gatarrão lindo (como podem ver)! Mas ultimamente não tenho tido muita sorte.
À semanas que tenho estado em baixo... fiquei doentinho do meu olho e ninguém sabia ao certo o que se passava comigo. Fiz vários exames e análises, e entretanto fiquei internado por ter dificuldade a respirar.
O diagnóstico chegou mais tarde, e deixou-nos a mim e à minha família desolados! Além de ter testado Positivo para FELV, fui também diagnosticado com Peritonite Infecciosa Felina (PIF), uma doença muito grave causada por uma mutação rara do Corona Virus Felino. Até há bem pouco tempo esta doença era considerada fatal, com uma taxa de mortalidade de 99%. Mas felizmente surgiu um tratamento que me pode salvar! Este tratamento tem tido bastante taxa de sucesso, no entanto, é extremamente caro e a minha família não tem possibilidades de o suportar!
O tratamento consiste numa injecção/dia, durante 84 longos dias, e vamos precisar de muitos frasquinhos de antiviral (GS441524)! Por cima de tudo isto, tive ainda a "sorte" de ter uma das formas mais raras e graves da doença, PIF Pleural e Ocular, e precisarei de uma dosagem superior, o que implica mais frasquinhos, e mais custos. Cada frasquinho custa 70€ e eu vou precisar de aproximadamente 45! :(
Sabendo existir este tratamento, nem eu nem a minha família conseguimos cruzar os braços! Eu nunca o fiz, e a minha família tentará de tudo para me ajudar a vencer esta nova batalha! Se há esperança, corremos atrás! Juntos, conseguirei mais uma vez vencer!
