Mia’s Rattlesnake Bite Battle

This is very uncomfortable for my husband and I to post, but we are in need of some help. We don’t have children so our dogs are our everything. Our Great Dane Mia was bit on her face by a rattlesnake while walking out on our back patio to go potty. The rattlesnake would have bit me on my ankle if it wasn’t for her, which makes this journey that much more emotional. We immediately rushed her to a specialty hospital where she was treated with anti-venom and had a blood transfusion. We had to rush her back to that same specialty hospital because she fell very, very sick. I will spare you the details but she threw up and had bloody diarrhea so extreme her vet said you need to rush her back in ASAP. They think it could be adverse reactions to the venom but they are not sure. Regardless of having answers there of course is a huge bill. Being active duty military family we don’t have extra funds to front for her treatment. We hate asking for aid, but we are stuck between a rock and huge bill. We love this girl with our whole life and want to make sure she is alive and healthy. Thank you for your time. -Montano’s
