Imagine waking up one morning and not being able to move your arms and legs to get out of bed. You were fine the night before. That's how Guillian-Barre syndrome (GBS) works. Without warning it attacks the nerves in the spine causing muscles to stop working . . . and that's what happened to Mia on March 16th, 2017. Thankfully, Kris got her to the hospital and it was caught early enough to minimize damage. But she spent 12 days in the hospital, undergoing immunotherapy to stop the viral attack and start therapy to begin healing of her muscles and regain strength. She now faces months of continued physical and occupational therapy to regain basic muscle function. This fund has been started to assist with the $10,000 insurance deductible they now face. Any amount of support is sincerley appreciated.
