Groceries for Miami Healthcare Workers

The COVID-19 pandemic and its economic impact has led to a level of hardship many of us never thought was possible. As the impact continues to grow, it is starting to hit closer to home for many. This now includes an ever-growing list of our coworkers.
We are resident doctors at a children's hospital in Miami. It is fortunate that our patients are safe from the worst of the disease. But social distancing and its impact on the healthcare system have caused our hospital, like so many others, to limits costs by cutting hours or placing clinical staff on furlough. We are seeing the people we have worked along-side of, and learned from, in delivering quality care to the children of our community now struggling, and we want to do what we can to help.
We would like to raise money to purchase grocery store gift cards for the furloughed staff members we work alongside. The amount and the scope of recipients will vary based on how much we raise. These are difficult times, but coming together as a community is what will help us persevere.
