On February 4, 2016, Mia Holden, a single mother of 5 young children was a passenger in a car on the way to her out-patient surgery at a local hospital in Topeka at 6:30 a.m., was killed when the car she was riding in was broadsided by a suspect during a police chase at 6th & Topeka Blvd. The suspect has been charged with murder due to her death.
Mia and her children moved to Topeka from Pennsylvania 2 years ago and they need our help.
Friends and Family of Mia Holden are raising money for the funeral, transportation and children's expenses. The money is needed this week for these expenses and we appreciate any donation to help this family get through this tragedy.

Myself, Lou Probasco a Topeka, Kansas attorney and Joyce Hightower, a church volunteer, both friends of Mia having met her in November, 2015 with Parties With A Purpose, and maintained contact, friendship and assisted her and her family. Mia and her family started attending Joyce's church Inward Faith Outreach Ministries . We started this fund to help with the family with the estimated $9,000 funeral costs and transportation costs of her remains back to Pennsylvania, est $1,000, expenses for the children including return to Pennsylvania where they lived up until moving to Topeka 2 years ago. The funds are being transferred by Go Fund Me directly into my Lawyer Trust Account and with the guidance of her father, godmother/Aunt and one of the children's paternal grandmothers, we are agreeing on the order of priority for the bills. With the funeral, transfer of Mia being high priorities, costs of transportation to KS, expenses of emergency set up of household. I will be responsible that the funds are properly dispersed & if any extra will be put in a trust savings fund for the children.
We met Mia through PWP in November and have maintained contact with her and her children until present. Mia's mother passed away when Mia was only 2 weeks old from a complication in childbirth and her father is retired and has limited income for the necessary expenses. He, a paternal grandmother and Mia's godmother have flown back to Topeka to assist in the transistion. If any questions or needs Joyce or Lou can be reached at church or the office.
Contributions can be made directly to Mia Holden Fund % Bowser Johnson Funeral Chapel, 723 SW 6th, Topeka Ks 66603, to her church, Mia Holden Fund % Inward Faith Outreach Ministries, 625 SW Polk, Topeka KS 66603 or via Go Fund Me at the link on this page.
