My name is Mia Oquita, and I am currently a junior at Agua Fria High School  in Avondale AZ.I have been selected to attend Oxford University for a summer program from July 7th through August 3rd 2019.  This program would give me the opportunity to experience not only college but also  living abroad.  There, I would have the opportunity to pursue a major in Criminal Science and minor in Social Psychology.

I am an extremely dedicated high school student, who maintains a 3.93 unweighted GPA all while participating in school sports such as volleyball (fr), badminton and softball.  I am also a member of the National Honor Society as well as member of the Inter-Key Club at my school, which is a community service club.


The Total cost for this program is $8950 for tuition,  and approximately $1700 for airfare.

Oxford, did grant me a partial scholarship for $2600 , leaving  me responsible for $8000 which needs to be paid by May 3, 2019.
