Mia's GPSA Trip

GPSA for Health’s program in Xela, Guatemala is an intensive experience for high school students and high school graduates with a passion for career paths such as medical doctor (MD). 
I am raising money for the global health service project trip I am hoping to attend this summer in conjunction with Duke and Johns Hopkins Universities. I will be traveling to Guatemala and working in the medical clinics and teaching the local children and their families about the dangers of malnutrition.  My goal is to become a physician and serve not only those in my community, but all those in need around the world.  Taking part in this opportunity, afforded me as a student of Bayside High School's Health Science Academy is an important step in that direction.
