Mia and her family are currently in temporary accommodation after a really serious fire at their house and they won't be allowed home for possibly a year. She's not expecting to get back many of her personal possessions; the fire service managed to rescue some of their clothes which had to be industrially cleaned, but pretty much everything else upstairs is gone.
