Mia Star

Mia, is a 3 year old little girl who lost her sight when she was just 16 months old. After many tests , doctors discovered a collection of tumours along the her optic pathway.

She was subsequently diagnosed with a genetic condition called Neurofibromatosis a genetic condition which causes tumours to grow along the nerves.

After loosing her sight Mia then had to endure 18 months of Chemotherapy, a process which I have been through myself, which was scary for an adult so for a little girl to endure I can only imagine how daunting this must have been for her.

My aim is to help the family raise funds so she may have a happy and fulfilling life. To assist her in accessing and experiencing the world around her, so that she can reach her potential.
