Mia Needs Your Help for Life-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
It’s Mia, fighting again for quality of life and this time to save me from losing bits of my intestines and needing a colostomy bag. I have stage 4 DIE2 endometriosis and the only surgeon who can remove it without chopping me up more and removing my intestines doesn’t take insurance. Please help me save my guts, and quality and longevity of life to get this laparoscopic surgery from Dr. Mosbrucker out of Gig Harbor, Washington. I can’t schedule the appointment until I have $7,000 up front. I am going to host many paint nights, auctions, and other fundraising gigs to raise the money. This is very debilitating; I can no longer drive, have difficulties doing most physical things, and need help with all my household chores and even some complex ADLs.
Women in my situation often get misdiagnosed, overlooked, and left in misery. I have been fighting this diagnosis since 2010, losing reproductive abilities at 26. I lost so much of myself, and just when I thought I was doing excellent, my insides have been ravaged by the endometriosis cells again. I’ve lost my emotional stability too, and all the things that come with no longer being able to have estrogen in my body. I’m trying not to throw my hands in the air and say to heaven, “Just take me now.” Thanks for listening to my story. It’s very difficult for me to again ask my community for help, but even doing all the “right things,” having insurance, and working so hard financially to be in a situation where we only have enough money to keep a roof over our heads and food in our family’s mouths just like all of America, I am so grateful for any extra money any person is able to donate.
Thank you from the depths of my soul.
