Mia Moja for Rafiki Tanzania

*100 miles in June with Rafiki Tanzania*
This July, I am delighted to be travelling to Tanzania on a life-changing charity trip, alongside a fantastic group of staff and students from St. Patrick’s College. Together, we’ll be volunteering on projects that support education and community development — including the incredible work being done at Ciara’s School.
This June, I will complete 100 miles "Mia Moja" as part of Mia Moja for Rafiki Tanzania.
In 2005, Ciara, a local girl with a huge heart and a bright future, tragically passed away in a car accident at the age of 17. Just weeks earlier, she had attended a retreat where she wrote a powerful personal prayer. In her words:
“I believe that everything happens for a reason, even though it is so hard at times. I believe that any one person can make a difference, and that one day, with God’s help, I can make a difference.”
Ciara's parents, Mary and Mickey, chose to honour her dream in the most incredible way — by building a school in Tanzania in her name. Since then, through tireless fundraising and love, Ciara's School has grown and continues to make a difference in the lives of hundreds of children, giving them access to education and hope for the future.
I would be so grateful if you could support this cause by making a donation. Every pound raised will help improve the lives of young people in Tanzania.
Ciara believed one person could make a difference.
Let’s prove she was right.
