Mia Moeglin

As many of you may know, Mia Moeglin has been struggling with weight gain since birth. She is now three months old and the doctors have diagnosed her with "Failure to Thrive." Mia has been in Comer Children's Hospital for the past two weeks where they have tried many different formulas, extensive testing, ultrasounds of her stomach and brain, an MRI, and cat-scan, all eliminating concerns, but clarifying little overall. The neurological team is concerned about her potential mobility and muscle development in both her legs and arms. There are still a few test results we are waiting on, and they are starting her on Physical and Nutritional Therapy.

We are trusting God that His angels will continue to protect Mia. We pray He will give the doctors wisdom as they search for a solution. As you can see, Mia has maintained her spirit and smiles and laughs. We know God will see her through this and we thank you all for your continued prayers. We already feel so blessed by our friends and family.

Many of you have already been very generous by providing meals and many more have reached out inquiring on how they may help. Again, we are so blessed by your hearts and giving. We currently have plenty of meals for the time being. However, Brandon and Danielle (Mia's parents) are going back forth from Indiana to Chicago daily. One parent is sitting with Mia and spending the night in the room with her, while the other is at home taking care of their two other children. They also alternate every few hours going to see Mia. The biggest burden is the added financial expenses, such as gas, parking fees, and food while at the hospital. Any donation would ease this burden.
