Mia Fitzgerald

This fundraiser is on behalf of Mia Fitzgerald's family to support the celebration of her beautiful life, and those she has left behind at the premature age of 54; her three beautiful children Connor, Delphyne and Ethan, and her mother Geraldine who lives in a care home and suffers from Dementia.

Devastatingly, Mia was diagnosed with bladder cancer earlier this year. Throughout treatment Mia fought with strength and positivity, and shared this same outlook to the people around her. After Mia made progress with her treatment, she faced another shocking set back when cancer was found within her brain. Mia stayed optimistic throughout the process, determined to live her life in full capacity for as long as possible and continue touching so many people with her amazing light. Mia has always been a strong fighter as she battled kidney disease her whole life. She fought hard until the end, passing away surrounded by loved ones chanting and singing for her. She will remain in our hearts forever, and will always be by our side.

Mia was a loyal, selfless and thoughtful community member, who was always giving others the support and light they needed. Throughout Mia’s journey with Cancer it was made clear the abundance of people’s lives she has not only positively influenced but irrevocably changed forever. We have been so grateful for the support and the outpouring of love shown throughout this time.
