For my final film at NYU, I am directing a thriller/drama short film set at a wilderness therapy camp:

Dropped off at a wilderness camp for troubled youth, a young girl must navigate a system of abuse and betrayal.

Growing up as a military dependent was difficult. While I was never sent to a therapy camp, I wanted to have a voice in where I lived or stayed, so to some extent, I understand the desperation of the young girls in this film. This is a story for everyone who doesn't feel, or at some point, has not felt in control of their life.

It's the middle of February at an isolated camp in New Jersey. Upon arriving at Camp Thornbury, 17-year-old Lennon is struck with the icy reality of her foreseeable future.

Lennon bonds with her cabin mates, Troy, Ashlyn, and Emma, as they complete chores and follow orders.

Yet, Lennon realizes that in order to survive Mr. Grimwood and the harsh February winter, no one here really keeps friends.
