Mias Story

Mia is a single mother of three young boys. She grew up in a family of 5. Her mother, father, and 2 brothers. At age 3 Mia was diagnosed with a cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma, also known as Sarcoma (cancer of the muscle or bone). She spent 265 days in the hospital as a young girl undergoing intense chemotherapy and radiation. Her organs were greatly impacted by her cancer treatment. At age 28, Mia was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF) and kidney failure. She had one kidney removed, and underwent a heart transplant. Mia has been in and out of the hospital daily with a weak immune system and symptoms of possible heart failure since age 28. She is 38 years old now and although Mias heart transplant was successful at age 28, overtime her body began to reject her new heart. Mia is currently in the ICU on dialysis due to kidney failure. On October 3rd, early morning, Mias heart stopped. They had to resuscitate her. She is now on a ventilator. She may or may not be listed on the donors list if she cannot be stabilized, among other complications as well.

Mias family is suffering greatly! Both financially and emotionally! Her Mother Cindy is asking for any and all help! I would love to help raise money in honor of Mia to help ease the pain of her family as well as help with the burden of many medical bills. The remainder will help care for the boys in Mias absence. It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mia Zarzycki on October 7th 2023. Mia was my best friend and a second mother to my children. She did more for me then I could ever imagine. She is such a selfless person. She always put others needs before her own. For those who knew Mia, knew what an angel she is/was. Mia will forever be in our hearts and will never be forgotten. Her family needs help! Now it’s our turn to pay Mia back for all of her generosity and love that she was able to pour out to others.
