My name is Nahir & along with many in the states with direct & immediate connections to Puerto Rico, we are looking to our networks for help.

Hurricane Fiona hit on Sept 18, 2022, devastating what was in the process of being rebuilt from Hurricane Maria back in 2017. My family was directly impacted due to high flooding, no accessible roads for my grandparents to be able to obtain their medications/treatments, and eternal lines at the gas stations to keep generators running (not everyone in my family has access to generators at this time), no running water and no relief for the intense heat. The ability to physically send anything to them now is nearly impossible. I will personally take physical donations once it is safe to fly down and water has subsided on major highways. These funds will be evenly split between 3 family households (my grandparents and two of my aunts). I will personally distribute these funds appropriately and provide updates to donors once I'm able to touch down on the island.

For now, financial assistance is crucial to them in ensuring they can afford to replace what they've lost, including home & auto repairs.

My family is not the only one going through this chaos. If you feel compelled to donate/help the general population, that is wonderful and much appreciated. Please research before donating to ensure the organization is legit and has been in operation for some time.
