Happy New Year!!
My name is Allyson and it has been a lifelong dream of mine to teach English in Asia, travel, and learn about the different cultures, and serve underprivileged communities.
After many years of hard work and dedication, I recently obtained my bachelor’s degree, certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. After a 6 month long application process, in late December I received a job offer to teach as a TaLK scholar in South Korea for their 2020 Spring intake.
Teach and Learn in Korea, also known as the TaLK Program, is a unique scholarship opportunity for undergraduates who are seeking a personal, professional and educational experience in the Republic of Korea.
The program, which began in April of 2008 under the direction of former South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak, is designed to support public English education in the rural areas of Korea, where the access to higher quality educational resources are limited.
The TaLK Program is unique in many ways. It is only one of two government-sponsored English programs in South Korea, and the only program that provides an opportunity for individuals with at least 2 years of post-secondary education to come to South Korea for an once-in-a-lifetime experience.
For more information about the TaLK program visit:

I am raising money to help cover the cost of airfare, visa costs, and necessary expenses for two months of the program. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated and will help to alleviate some of the costs associated with the program!
Thank you so much for your support!
