Help Kayla Save Her Kids

Hey, as most of you already know i am Kayla. I have two kids Anaya(about to be 13) and Asaya (9). Recently i fell on hard times and august of 2024 i asked my kids to live with there father while i figure everything out . I did not want my kids to suffer with me. so even though they weren't happy with the decision for that year they lived with there dad. I have since finally got a good job but i am still struggling to get a car and i just applied for an apartment. since my kids have come to me for the summer month. I have been served with court documents were their dad is asking for sole custody. but that isn't the issue once my daughter came with me her and her brother sat down and vented to me about everything and i cannot believe or deal with the abuse my kids have dealt with at the hands of there "father" that they didn't feel comfortable telling me about while in his house and wait till they knew they would be home with me for a while. My children recounted situations where there dad has looked my daughter in the face and said "no one in this house wants you here." "your the worse person in this house." 'why cant you just be right." "your terrible because you act like your mother."" You're brother doesn't want you here." My daughter was put on punishment and while i agree with discipline i do NOT agree with abuse and this punishment was abuse. It was called "JAIL TIME" punishment everything was taken out of her room except Mattress, sheets, throw blanket and he would pick her clothes. she couldn't speak to or interact with her siblings and couldn't speak to the parents in the house unless asking a questions. she couldn't eat snacks only 1 apple a day breakfast was a fried egg sandwich, lunch was a PBJ and dinner was whatever was cooked but only what was initially served. so if she was still hungry she couldn't ask for or have more food when not eating she was only allowed in her room she had to called out of her room to leave her room. she could not have any thing in her room so she could just sit. she couldn't call the parents in the house they had to initiate any conversation. My daughter was so scared of the consequences she told me one night she was so hungry her stomach was hurting that she snuck out her room into the kitchen and stole two slices of bread. she was 12 there is no reason a 12yr old should have to deal with these things. Anaya and Asaya's physical punishment was that they have to iron chairs for 20 minutes repeating it over and over if they fell or moved. Asaya has hip dysplasia so that would make this a very painful exercise and very hard for him to maintain. They get in trouble for all the smallest things from leaving clothes out and not brushing there teeth well to not finishing the water bottle they're given. she hasn't been able to play with her friends or talk to her friends in months.

This is not an okay living environment. and it is abuse and now there dad wants to have sole custody to hurt me. not for there benefits. so now I'm here asking for help. I have always tried to be the best mom and create a safe place for any kid but especially mine. please help me pay for legal fees and anything needed to help my kids get through this.
