Laura's Battle

Hi everyone

My name is Michelle. I have set up this fundraiser to help Laura spend time with her loved ones, especially her wonderfully devoted partner Chad without the financial Burdon.

Late last year Laura received a kidney transplant after 5 months on peritoneal dialysis. Post her transplant Laura continued to experience crippling pain. After months of telling the surgeon something wasn't right, they agreed to do a CT Scan

Laura's fear became a reality when she learnt that she has stage 4 colorectal Cancer with bowel and Liver Mets. The cancer spread through Laura's body at an alarming rate due to the anti rejection medication she was taking post her kidney transplant.

Laura's prognosis is extremely poor. And her time with loved ones has been significantly cut short.

Despite a gruelling chemo schedule and crippling pain, whilst her body is still recovering from major surgery, Laura has remained positive, kind, dedicated and strong.

She continues to find Joy in seeing friends and family and living what time she has to the fullest.

Unfortunately the financial Burdon is hindering this, money donated will give Laura freedom to enjoy life before she becomes to unwell. It will also take the pressure off Chad, giving him the ability to spend more time with Laura. Laura's dreams on having a holiday with just her and Chad. Where they can spend the time connecting and trying to forget for a few short days what the future holds.
