Mike's Outdoor Wheelchair Lift
Donation protected
Hi everyone. It has been brought to my attention that my best friend, Mike Palumbo, is in need of a new outdoor wheelchair lift. The lift can cost upwards of $15,000-$20,000. Due to the fact that the lift is at his parents house, not his primary residence, he is not eligible for any government grants or assistance. Mike spends a great deal of time with his parents and has no way of getting into the house without the lift.
Mike suffered a spinal cord injury during a tragic motorcycle accident shortly after we graduated from high school. Due to the crash, Mike lost the ability to use his legs and has been in a wheelchair for almost 16 years. Mike has never once complained about how difficult his life has become since the accident which left him paralyzed. He works very hard as a service manager of an automotive shop and has never asked anyone for financial help.
Mike and I have been best friends since high school, he was the best man at my wedding and is my daughter's Godfather. He is the kind of person that would give you the shirt off his back and do anything for you. At this time, he is unaware that we are collecting funds for the lift. I set up this page because I know
Mike would never ask for the money himself. Please donate and help spare Mike and his family the financial burden of the full cost of a new wheelchair lift. Thank you!
