Dariana Jimison Medical Costs and Travel Expenses

I will be hosting a fundraiser on behalf of my niece Dariana Jimison. Many of you know my niece was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer. Ewing Sarcoma in January of 2013. Ewing's Sarcoma affects about 220 throughout the United States. It's a pediatric cancer that affects the soft tissue and bone. When she was initially diagnosed, after only 6 weeks of

having knee pain, the cancer had metastasized to 9 other areas of her body with the primary sight in her pelvic bone. Since the first diagnosis, Dariana has relapsed 9 times. Each time, she endured numerous surgeries, chemotherapies and radiation, not to forget the physical

toll she has endured but the emotional and mental toll this disease has taken on Dariana is indescribable. This once strong individual is now struggling with day to day life. The research for pediatric cancer is very low funded to begin with and with sarcomas it is even less. As Dariana has relapsed, options for treatments have become less. Her family is

traveling to other states to visit specialists in top hospitals, trying to find more options for Dariana. They will go as far as they need to so they can explore every and all options that may be available for their daughter. This is where we need your help As they say, it takes a village to raise a child. We are asking you to join Darian and her family at Villa Borghese. November 17 at 6:30pm, for appetizers, drinks and music but more importantly to show your support. The funds raised at this event will enable Dariana and her family to keep fighting for

her life. The costs not covered by insurance are limitless. This family never thought that this could happen to them, however, it did, and has changed their lives forever.
