Help Southside Find a New Home!

Do you want to join us in making a difference? We are raising money for the amazing Southside Elementary Charter School and every donation will help! Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us. SouthSide first opened its doors 10 years ago and we have proudly cultivated a tight knit, progressive and kind community. Unfortunately, our landlords will not be renewing our lease and we need to buy our own building. While this will cost millions, we are starting small with this campaign in order to be able to hire the person who can help take us to our next fundraising level. It is critical that we find a building or we could shut down which would be a tragedy.

SouthSide Elementary Charter School houses 144 K-5th grade students. Our student population is made up of 32 diverse cultures and 98% of our students are black and brown. Furthermore, 92% of our families are economically disadvantaged and we do all that we can to help meet our families needs. Furthermore, we know and love each and every student and consider ourselves to be a family.

Our Mission Statement: Southside provides a diverse group of Providence Kindergarten through 5th grade student with a solid step toward college and community leadership. Students learn to read, write, think logically and problem solve on grade level within a curriculum that emphasizes academic rigor, excellence and community engagement in am extended day and school year.
