Honor the Memory of John M. Calix

Hello everyone,

I am Sara Lemus, the sister of John Max Calix, a Dallas firefighter who recently passed away. My brother was an amazing person, who devoted his life to serving and protecting the Dallas community. He was loved by his entire family and he will be deeply missed. But as you may know, being a first responder takes a toll on one's mental health and we lost him to that silent battle.

As his family, we are struggling to come to terms with this loss and are also facing the financial burden of funeral expenses. That's why I am reaching out to our community for help.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. We would be forever grateful for your support during this difficult time. My brother dedicated his life to serving and protecting the Dallas community for over 5 years, let's come together to support his family and show our appreciation for the sacrifices he made while serving our city.

We are also using this opportunity to raise awareness on the issue of mental health among first responders. Let's make sure that no one else has to go through what my brother and our family went through.
