Help Ben through this difficult time.

An update from Ben;

It is happening to me again. Due to a perfect storm of negative situations/conditions, I will be without a place to live, at midnight, May 27th, this month. Due to my 2 complete hip replacement surgeries, the time it took to get properly insured, so I did not owe the hospital $200,000, (or whatever) then covid-19 hit and delayed it 9 more months. Then recovery from that, I was forced to live off my life savings for around a 5-year period, my life savings of $125,000 liquid cash, was completely used up. 5 years of not working, added up to $25,000 per year, roughly, for 5 years.

My life savings for retirement is wiped out. My social security is meager, and I am on state assistance/ food stamps. I am now, ready, willing and able to work, but it is near impossible to get hired on at 65 years old, although I am healthy.

I was hoping someone could use my services, in barter for rent, for a bedroom until I get on my feet with a steady job. Not only would anyone who helps me would have free access to my general contracting abilities. Maybe someone has rental properties that need a super / maintenance person. Carpentry, masonry, plumbing, decks additions, landscaping, lawn and garden maintenance, vehicle and power equipment maintenance, I have done elderly care, to a point, driving, cooking, cleaning, companion, which frees up a spouse, son or daughter. It seems that many of my friends have very challenging situations with an elderly parent or parents. I am seeing more and more stories come to the surface, like mine.
