On September 11th 2020, the world lost a beautiful soul, Desiree Vaughn Arthofer. Survived by her husband Austin Arthofer and 3-year-old daughter Aurora Arthofer. Oldest of four siblings, twin to Danielle, sister to two brothers Derek and Darien, and daughter to Rebecca and Michael.
Austin and Desiree met back in 2015 in Denver, Colorado on Match.com and instantly knew they were meant to be together. On the second date Austin told Desiree “I’m in love with you”… After the first month Desiree gave Austin a promise ring, and they swore to each other they would be together forever. Two years later they would welcome their precious daughter Aurora into the world. Desiree was passionate and extraordinary in her career of Graphic Design along with being an adventurous entrepreneur starting her own business. But above all, she always emphasized that her main focus was her daughter. She was an amazing mother, going back to work full time just three days after giving birth in order to support the family. She always cared for others above herself. She was so strong and just one of those people you could throw anything at and she would get right back up and throw it back 10x harder. Later in life, both Austin and Desiree had their own struggles. Austin had just been recovering and returning to work, while Desiree who used to travel the world as a professional snowboarder was excited to settle into a place she could call home; Snohomish, Washington.
Desiree and her twin sister Danielle were best friends and talked every day. They were each others person and had a special bond that no one could touch. They loved each other deeply and stood strong by each other through every high and low.
We appreciate everyone’s love and support during this tragic time. No public services will occur as the immediate family has decided to hold a private memorial to say our goodbyes.
