Robert's Funeral Funds
Donation protected
On December 7, 2015, a brother, son and uncle had passed away through the night. Robert Cicirello Jr. had officially lost his long, lingering fight against drug addiction that he had been battling for more than a decade. Rob was energetic, intelligent, and had a big heart for those who he called family and friends. He always wanted to make his family proud. Just recently, Rob was beginning to find himself and self-satisfaction after announcing he was 31 days clean and healthy. His journey of change began when he moved from Philadelphia to Maryland, in hopes of growing and starting a new, improved lifestyle. The move to Maryland seemed to have been serving Rob well for several months. However, after a recent move back to Philadelphia, the power of the poisonous stimulants interfered with his road to recovery once again, putting an end to a war Robert faced among himself.
Despite the outcome, Rob was always one who expressed optimism within himself; always trying to do the right thing and better himself when he was not absorbed by the vengeance drugs aim to inflict on the vulnerable and isolated. Time and time again, Rob displayed immense effort and diligence to shy away from the use of drugs and those who negatively influenced his life. Rob went through spurts of living again and being on the bright side of life, showing resilience by neglecting to take part in the things that had faithfully been destroying his life and future. And while spurts of cleanliness may not have been ideal, those brief moments were a testament of the intensions Rob truly had in his heart – the desire to outlast one of the most toxic conditions known to human beings.
With every unplanned death, comes an unplanned funeral. Just like every family that struggles to provide for the cost of a funeral, our family joins the long list in need of thoughts, prayers and financial requests. We are asking for any amount of donation that anyone is willing to provide through the kindness of their heart. The smallest donations can travel the longest way. In moments of sorrow and grievance, we asking for much needed help from family and friends. We are pushing to raise 10K for the cost of the funeral and travel expenses for non-immediate family members who are planning on attending the funeral.
In the end, we will remain grateful for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers! Thank you in advance for your donation and prayers!
