Help Jim get back on his feet!
Donation protected
On August 29, 2020 my dad Jim Garguilo seriously injured his leg in a skateboarding accident where he damaged his femoral artery and dislocated his knee, tearing 4 of the 5 ligaments. He was life flighted to Billings, MT where they stabilized and sedated him for several days.
Due to the damage inside his knee doctors are unable to perform surgery until late October/early November, and will need to do a complete rebuild of the knee. He is looking at up to nine months of recovery time, which will require a lot of physical therapy and doctor appointments in order to get back to full functionality and mobility.
Jim has always been a dedicated father and friend. He has spent countless hours supporting & helping people in any way that he can. He has raised a daughter while working full time, taken people in when they needed a place to stay, helped friends build houses, taken care of loved ones dealing with serious illness, and actively donated to various charities supporting veterans and low-income families.
Jim has been an active and avid waterfowl, big game hunter, and conservationist since he was twelve. He has been a proud field expert for Drake Waterfowl for ten plus years and actively supports Ducks Unlimited. Jim focuses on the positives in life, and he makes it a priority to live a healthy lifestyle, staying positive and upbeat. He enjoys any opportunity he gets to talk to people & help them work through their problems. Recently he has started working towards a career in Life Coaching. He is passionate about life, and passionate about helping others.
As a Master Electrician Jim will not be able to work until he has had time to recover from the surgery. The following months will prove difficult for him as he lives alone and will be trying to manage recovery from surgery with limited mobility. He will be without income for several months and, as he is injured, this will be the first year he will be unable to hunt to fill his freezer.
My dad is an amazing man, he is facing this challenge with positivity and strength, but he will need help and support from us to get through this. Anything you can donate will help him cover the expenses of medical bills, housing, and food for him & his pups ( Widgeon and Sparrow ). Any amount helps, and I can guarantee that if you were in the same situation as he is right now he would be there for you with a helping hand, without a moment's hesitation, ready to help you tackle anything.
