Mhay's Battle with Lupus

My name is Guia and I’m sitting here reaching out for one reason: To save my sister in law Mary Ann who has been battling Lupus.  Lupus is an auto-immune disorder that has many complications and affects everything in your body – physically and mentally.  Last January 23, 2017, she was admitted at Makati Medical Center in the Philippines due to slurring.  She was diagnosed with Acute Kidney injury on top of chronic disease; SLE nephritis, Hyperkalemia; Metabolic acidosis. She already lost eyesight on one eye.  She’s undergoing dialysis every other day to monitor her creatinine level.  Even though her flare ups have increased she remains positive and exudes such strength and optimism.  The medical testing and treatments to this point are overwhelmingly mounting. 

My brother Edwin is the sole provider of their family. He went back to Manila to take care of his wife Mary Ann in February but only stayed there for 3 weeks, he needs to go back to work here in the US to continue financially supporting his ill wife and their daughter Ysabel, who is only 17 years old and still in school.
