Raising funds for an unexpected but needed surgery for Lucy. Lucy has been struggling to go to the bathroom, squatting several times, and waking in the middle of the night to go out. She’s been straining and uncomfortable. Anti-inflammatory medicine helps, but the vet has told us it will not fix the problem and that it is dangerous to be on it long term at her age. Lucy has an impacted anal gland that is completely sealed. There is a suspected previous disease/scarring. It is recommended that Lucy have an anal gland sacculectomy (removal of anal glands). Lucy is 13 years old, but otherwise healthy, so the vet has given her a good prognosis if she gets the surgery done, and believes she could have several more years left in her.

After making a job change and taking a pay cut, it’s been a struggle to make this happen. I want my girl to be more comfortable. We appreciate any help you can provide!
