Hi, my name is Tabitha Ladnier and I am organizing a Go Fund Me account for Leigh Glasscock Burleson, her husband Bryan, and their two kiddos, Brynleigh and Bryce!

Leigh got a splinter in her foot while on vacation in July. The foot wasn’t healing right, so she went to the doctor and they gave her an antibiotic. The antibiotic was making her feel bad and giving her severe headaches, so she quit taking it. About 4 weeks ago she started feeling tired all the time and would get short of breath when she walked long periods. She thought it was just due to her foot not healing properly.

She had an MRI last week on her foot and it showed no abnormalities. Monday she didn’t feel any better so she went back to the doctor. Her primary care doctor sent her to a Orthopedic and he is the one who did blood work. Her hemoglobin was very low so he sent her to the ER. She was admitted and began getting blood transfusions. She ended up having to have 4 units of blood to get her count up. Wednesday afternoon the oncologist came in to see her and told her she had leukemia. As you can imagine, everyone was devastated! The doctor told her she needed to get to MD Anderson as soon as she could. So now they are just waiting on a room. We aren’t sure yet what type of leukemia she has. Once she gets to MD Anderson in the next couple of days, she will find out exactly what she is facing and how she will fight it.

As we all can imagine, this is going to cause a financial strain.. so anyone who can donate to this precious family, it would be so appreciated!
