Hey there, friends and family!
From May 15th - 27th, 2016, I have the incredible chance to travel to the Tokyo/Chiba area of Japan! Our team is volunteering with Hands2Japan - they give people with ordinary hands the opportunity to bring an extraordinary message to the people of Japan: the gospel.
Our team is parterning with the International Missions Board, or the IMB. We will participate in their broad strategic outreach, plus we'll join these community ministries:
Hope2Homes - this is when we will spend time on the streets in our strategy area. We'll hand out HOPE tracts (a booklet that explains the gospel) to the people who want to know more about Jesus. But most importantly, we will be praying for the people who are lost, and that the Lord will use our team to reach out and show His love to the people we meet.
Feet2Street - this is an opportunity for our team to share our testimonies with people and invite them to a time of fellowship. This leads to new friendships and eventually new brothers and sisters in Christ! We strive to build genuine friendships with people, not “projects.”
Onsite2Insight - we are going to experience the Japanese culture by seeing their temples and ancient cities. This will give us a further insight into the culture of Japan and allow us to understand the backgrounds of many. The point is so we can meet them exactly where they are, just as Christ does for us.
*Sidenote, you may be wondering why all of these ministries have a "2" in their name. The reason is found in Luke 10:1, which says "After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go."
THE BIGGEST NEED FOR OUR TEAM:
Prayer, prayer, and more prayer.
We ask that you pray:
-for God to use us as his hands and feet for the entire time.
- For the Lord to reveal himself in new ways to us and everyone we encounter
-for safety and health among the team
-For team unity & for the Lord to take us outside our comfort zones continually!

THE SECOND NEED FOR OUR TEAM:
The finances to actually go!
The $2,700 cost of our trip includes plane tickets, housing, project supplies, and food.
This gofundme page is to let friends and family know what our team is doing this summer. I have faith and trust that the Lord will provide the funds to go on this trip if this is where He wants me. I would love your support in this way if you feel the Lord tugging on your heart to donate. But if this is not possible for you right now, please be a part of praying for the Lord to provide!
