Rising from the Flames

I started this fundraiser for a fellow co-worker who has experienced a devastating loss a few days ago. Portia is one of our beloved occupational therapy assistants. She's built a career on helping others recover and rehabilitate due to chronic illnesses, debilitating diseases or conditions beyond their control. She is a beautiful, caring person, and it would be fitting that we take care of those who care for others. Portia's apartment building was engulfed in flames, resulting in significant damage and loss of personal belongings for herself and her baby. She was informed recently that her apartment would be demolished. As we all know, maintaining a home is financially burdensome in these challenging times. Imagine what it’s like to salvage and start all over.
