Monday morning, about 8:00a.m. my cousin, Mason Goeserich, was struck by a van on Royal and danebo while riding his bike to school. After being transported to riverbend, unconscious, he was life flighted- ground to Doernbechers (OHSU) Childeren's Hospital. He has a fractured skull, ankle, bruised left lung, and a continuously deflating right lung. There are two plates on the backside of his skull that are seperated and there are many fuses and nerves exposed causing bleeding and swelling. He's been sent down for many X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans consistently. He comes in and out of consciousness and has no recollection of Monday or the accident. He's only twelve years old. He was on his way to his session-jazz choir; he is mostly worried about getting back to school/choir and seeing the rest of his family and friends. Anything helps for this little guy, even just a prayer of good thoughts and a speedy recover.
