Help Leo Walk Again

My name is Chrys Cardoso and I am trying to save my dog Leo who is 3 years old and was diagnosed with Intervertebral disc disease, a condition where the cushioning in his vertebrae of his spinal column is herniated and out of place. Leo is only 3 years old and loves to run around with dogs then come inside to relax with guests, he is no longer able to do either of those because his back legs have stopped working and it pains him to move around or lay down.  He is no longer able to go to the bathroom on his own, reach down for his food and water bowls,  and his condition will only worsen without the proper surgery. 
The surgery is time sensitive and he needs it done this week before he loses control of anything else, he has already lost appetite and the medicine they prescribed him has very little effect. I've only had Leo for 6 months since I adopted him from the shelter and he still has a whole lot of life left, anyone who's met him knows he loves me dearly and it pains me to see him go through this because he means so much to me. He's trying so hard to smile and push through it and I know if he could he'd be wagging his tail to cheer me up and play with him. There's so many things I still have left to do for Leo, like his first birthday with me in March, that I hope I can still do in the future because he deserves so many more. Please if there is anything you can help with it would go a long way for the both of us, even sharing this to other people would help get word out and maybe help save Leo. His last family surrendered him at only 3 years of age, I won't fail Leo like this. Thank you for your help, it means everything right now.
