Hello!

My name is Matthew Jackson. I am looking for assistance with owed back rent, and I am possibly facing eviction if the money is not paid.

My 9 year old son has been with me for the summer, and I do not have many options for places to go should I get evicted from my current apartment.

For transparency’s sake, I made a few bad decisions with my funds around Christmas 2024, and took more time off work than I should have, which led to me initially falling behind on my rent. I was able to prevent the eviction process then. However, due to winter weather in the following months, I was unable to work as much as I needed to. I fell a bit further behind. Then, I lost my brother to suicide in April of this year, and the job I had fired me not long after. Fortunately I was able to find a new job making more money, but I was now more than a month behind on my rent payments. I have been paying as much as I can every paycheck, but the rent still comes due at the beginning of every month and I haven’t been able to pay down the initial balance.

To be clear, I can afford to pay the rent here, I just need some help getting out of this hole I dug myself into!

Any help would be sincerely appreciated, and I will work overtime to try to ensure that I pay back everyone who helps!
