Joe Bukiewicz is one of those unforgettable people—the kind of vibrant, energetic friend you remember the first time you meet. Whether you're one of his lifelong friends from West Allis or you’ve been lucky enough to know him through his incredible golf coaching, chances are you’ve experienced Joe’s generosity, humor, and unwavering support firsthand.

Joe has always been the guy who shows up. The friend you can rely on. The coach who rearranges his schedule to help you improve. That’s just who he is.

Now it’s our turn to show up for Joe.

Joe was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. In true Joe fashion, he resisted asking for help. It took some serious conversations for him to finally agree to let us support him—because that’s just who he is, too: humble, hardworking, and fiercely independent.

So far, Joe has undergone two surgeries and begins chemotherapy on June 4. More treatments and procedures are expected in the coming months. Even though he continues to work through his illness, the reality is that he won’t be able to keep up with the same workload. His income will take a hit—on top of the already mounting medical bills and future treatment costs.

Most of us wouldn’t think twice about buying Joe a drink or tipping him big for a great golf lesson. Now we have a bigger chance to make a difference.

Joe and his amazing wife, Lin, live in Chicago, Illinois. The location is a blessing and a challenge—it gives Joe access to top-notch medical care, but it also brings higher treatment expenses. Lin has been a rock, offering all the love and support Joe could ever need. But now, we can help carry the financial burden.
