Getting my business off the ground
Donation protected
Hello
First of all. Thank you for being someone I can reach out to for support. I have never been very good at asking for help, but as I have preached the same sentiment to others, so I myself should not be afraid to do the same. The outcome will always be what was meant for me. I have been working over the last year to develop and create a new business that directly correlates to my passion. Veterinary medicine. I have been a veterinary nurse/technician for my entire adult life. Almost 16 years. This field has helped me to develop my character, grow in communication, meet me incredible people, and provide for my little family. I am ready to make an impact in the field that is not being done here in this area. I am going to be launching a travel veterinary nursing business in McHenry County in the next 2-3 months. Veterinary medicine has changed drastically since COVID, and we as a field/industry are struggling to keep up. It is now harder than ever to make an appointment and see your veterinarian within a 2-3 day period. On the other side of this situation. Veterinary clinics are overbooking staff to meet the demands, as clients become very frustrated and combative when they are unable to be seen. My business can alleviate the stress on both sides and make room at clinics for more appointments while assisting clients with their veterinary recommended out patient care, in their home's. Over the last year I have been paying for business classes at the county college, developing my business plan with a business advisor, and working at a general practice and an overnight ER practice to gain as much insight as I can. I originally went to school for Wildlife Rehabilitation, but will be returning this summer to become licensed/registered/certified veterinary nurse. As I transition into full time mode for my business. I will work 2-3 night shifts a week to keep up with industry standards, my skills, and because I love it!
If you have made it this far. Thank you. I have been falling back on my mom and dad's influence's during this entire experience. Sometimes you need to be the change. If you want things to improve. Figure out how to create that. Never stop learning or taking risks. Ask for help. And finally. YOU are capable of creating and building the things that are lacking in this world, no matter the scale. My mom was involved in and created so many groups and originizations, that I can't help but feel like she would be excited for this endeavor. I know that times have become increasingly difficult for many of us. There is no expectation for a contribution. Loans terrify me and interest rates are astounding. I would put any donations into my separate business account and be able to start purchasing supplies, generate a payroll at some point, and take the accounting, book keeping, and management classes at the county college. I have a couple billboards going up at golf courses in the area in June. I hope to have an office and staff in the future as well. Even if you are only able to spread the word. I wouldn't need anything more. I have attached a link to my website for more information on Home Turf Treatment. https://hometurftx.my.canva.site/
