Greg Habetz's Medical Expenses

This fund is to help with medical expenses for my brother Greg Habetz.  Greg, who will turn 51 on February 4, 2015, has been fighting Adult Glioblastoma Multiforme brain cancer for over a year now.  His first surgery was January 2, 2015 where they removed 95% of a tumor the size of a man's fist from his right frontal lobe.  After 9 months of chemo and radiation, the cancer came back in September. This time the tumors were in two different spots.  They performed surgery again on September 30, 2015 and were able to remove 100% of both tumors.  Sarah, Greg's wife was told after this surgery there was no need for chemo or radiation since they got it all; however, they could not do surgery again on his head if it came back.   Since September, he has had a gall bladder tube put in to drain fluid.  He had this for several weeks.  He's also had a shunt put in to drain the fluid building up on his brain.  This has caused him to be too weak. He's begun having mobility, speech and memory problems.  Another MRI was done a couple weeks ago and we learned the cancer is back for a third time.  With no surgery option, the doctors are now giving him 3 months to live.  They will try a different chemo therapy.  If this new treatment works it will give Greg a 20-30% chance for survival.  We are hoping and praying for a miracle for this to work and Greg be healed.  


Greg has been married to Sarah for 20 years and they have two daughters; Brittany (19) and Lindsey (16).   Sarah has been by his side every step of the way taking care of him as well as all the family duties.  She has been a true inspiration.  They need your help with their expenses since Greg has not been able to work since before the tumor was discovered.  Sarah is a housewife and used to homeschool their children.  The loss of his income and rising medical bills has put a tremendous financial stress on their family. Any money we raise will be given to Sarah to offset some of their medical expenses and to alleviate their household expenses. Greg hasn't worked in over a year and they need any assistance anyone can contribute.
