LETS HELP OUR HERO JOSE FIGHT CANCER

On Friday, January 9th, Jose Garcia was diagnosed with A.M.L. Acute Myeloid leukemia. In a matter of weeks his life changed.
We think this was a gradual thing that has been developing since June 2014. His energy level had been running low but he attested it to stress and other activities. He began complaining of a swollen foot, which prompted him to go to the doctor and it was then the doctor discovered the low blood count, which led him to the hospital and has been there since then. To help with A.M.L., he has received a few blood transfusions for the red blood cell count, platelet transfusion to help with his blood clot and five days of light chemo, which were ineffective and so began round two of heavy chemo. There were complications from the chemo and the bone marrow biopsy results indicate he still has 82% cancer. There was hope for a few weeks while we awaited blood work results from eight of his sibling for a possible bone marrow match. There was so much excitement when two of his siblings were a 100% match. Unfortunately, he had to be cancer free in order to proceed with the bone marrow transplant.
The medical treatments were unsuccessful and the doctors have released him to go home. Efforts will now be focused on Holistic treatment.
Family and friends, it’s hard asking for help, especially when it’s financially. What’s even harder than that is watching your loved one suffer from pain.
We are asking you to please come together in support of our Hero, Jose Garcia. The funds raised will cover Jose’s uncovered medical expenses and the cost to start Holistic treatment as to continue the battle against AML. Let’s give Jose the support that will allow him and his family to focus his mental and physical energy on fighting and healing!
For those of you who don’t know Jose Garcia, he is kind and his heart is filled with unlimited compassion for others. He is a loving, caring and a selfless man. He is an ordinary person facing extraordinary circumstance. He is our hero and is oh so loved! Jose is from Fort Worth, Texas and has a passion for sports, specifically the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. His profound faith in God has given him the courage to continue his journey to wellness. He was told by one of his daughters, “this is your marathon dad” he didn’t get it, then she told him, “this is your double hitter!” and that he got. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and thank you for your support.
Jose and his family will greatly appreciate any and all donations!
