Legal Funds for Abused Wife

My friend is divorcing her abusive, controlling husband. He has a lawyer, but he also controls all of the money. She has no access to their bank accounts and cannot afford a lawyer. Her husband is trying to gain sole custody of their three minor children, as that is the only way left for him to control her. The funds will be used to retain a lawyer and any additional legal fees. Please help her break the 17 year pattern of abuse she has suffered without losing her kids in the process. UPDATE: she now has a lawyer but lawyers are expensive. He husband is making things as difficult as possible (i.e. more costly). She can use all the help she can get! Any amount no matter how small would be greatly appreciated
