When I was younger, I never thought casually attending karate classes would carry me far in life. However, as I became older and more goal-oriented, I got the opportunity to begin training for competition. Fast forward through a couple more years of training and several local tournaments, I decided to take my skills to the national platform. Earlier in July, I competed in the 2019 USA National Karate Championships & Team Trials and placed 2nd in my weight division.  The top two athletes in each division not only earn a place on the USA Jr. National Team but they also qualify to compete and represent the USA at the Jr. Pan American Championships. This event will take place in August in Guayaquil,  Ecuador, making this my first international trip and an opportunity to bring home an international medal! 

This fundraiser was created to offset travel and competition expenses for the upcoming Jr. Pan American Championships, as well as all other expenses not covered by the USA National Karate Federation.
