On October 16, 2024, George went to work like any other day as a trash man in the Elizabethtown area in Pennsylvania. He was riding on the back of the trash truck when they were pulling out of an alleyway. George was then pinned between the truck and two concrete pillars at the end of the alley. George suffered extreme trauma to his right leg, ultimately losing his leg. George is a husband, father, and provider for his family and now can no longer work. As it is a worker's comp case, they only pay two-thirds of what he was making. As an additional financial hit, I (his wife) am now his caretaker and am out of work as well. You don't realize all the ways something like this changes your life. We need help paying our bills, the biggest being rent. It's the holidays, and we have two teens still in the home. We appreciate any help you can donate, no matter how small, as it all adds up. Just looking for help to pay our rent and the added costs of all these doctor appointments. Workers comp is paying for the medical but that doesn't cover the gas or my wages since I'm out of work due to having to take him to doctor and care for him all day. We appreciate any help even if you just share this and send prayers that we get through this life changing tragedy with a speedy and healthy recovery. God bless and happy holidays.
