Hello, We are the Meendering Family. We created a fundraiser to help get our Daddy & Incredibly Loving Husband to Rochester Minnesota / Mayo Clinic. ( Gas, Hotel, Co-Pays, Retainer Cost for procedures, Groceries *We cannot eat Gas Station, Fast Food, or Restaurant due to youngest daughter having Celiac Disease and severely sensitive to Gluten, Monthly Bills at home *Electric, Gas, Water, Rent, Vehicle Payment, Medications, Etc.) This all hit at possibly the worst time with our Oldest Daughter Graduation to be planned, 2 of our girls birthdays are this month, Senior Prom for our oldest...luckly will happen two days before we depart from home and head to Mayo. Never in our livetime together did I ever imagine something like this would happen to Matthew. I have always prayed for our Love to grow old together , while watching our girls grow as children , adults, parents, and to know even our great grandchildren , with my husband and I passing away in our sleep together at the end of our Journey. Why this, Im so puzzled but I can only trust that this is what might have had to happen for us to find out exactly what all his pain for so many years and back problems, migraines may be from , and we just pray this is gods process of his road to healing.
We need your help. Prayers. Continuous Prayers. Our Daddy's name is Matthew. He needs the Neuro-Team at Mayo to figure out what's wrong & hopefully fix our daddy so that he can be okay. So that he can be there and enjoy watching his oldest daughter Graduate in May. Be able to enjoy life and be able to feel normal again .
He has seen Family Med, Podiatry *Numbness in Feet & Discoloration*, Cardiology * Ultrasound on both Legs*, Cardio-Vascular Surgeons *Results of Ultrasound*, Rheumatology *Psoriatic Arthritis*, Internal Med Doctor *Balance Issues, Blood Testing & CT Scan of Brain*, Physical Med Rehabilitation *EMG Test on Nerves*, Neurology *Blood Testing & MRI-Brain Scan*, Neurosurgeon *Review CT Scan*.
February 2022, our Daddy woke feeling like he had been wearing a very tight ball cap on his head while experiencing still to this day unbalanced Mentally & Physically. He got up out of bed and stumbled, catching himself from falling. He stumbled and struggled, holding onto the wall, then the dresser, anything he could hold onto, to get into the kitchen to make his girls breakfast. We all noticed his struggles and the very alarming issue with his balance.
Results thus far, Matthew has an Arachnoid Cyst in the Cerebellum Region of his Brain 3.0 CM & Spiratic White Matter, Lesions in the Frontal Lobes.
His Symptoms every single day are as follows...
**Unbalanced * Stumbling from wake to sleep, catching himself from falling
**Blurred & Double Vision
**Twitching in the Face
**Spiratic Pain (Back, Legs, Hip, Feet, Shin, Knee, Toes, Head)
**Multiple Headaches
**Back Lower Part of Head Pain ( Location of Arachnoid Cyst)
**Tightness around Head like a tight baseball cap being worn
**Shaking Legs
**Numbness in Arms & Hands ( not able to feel them at all in the morning when he wakes & sometimes it will happen thru the day
**Fatigue
**Trouble Swallowing
**Trouble with Concentration
**Loss Of Appetite
** Muscle Spasms
**Delay In Speech
** Delay Reaction & or Response
** Short Term Memory Loss
*Our Daddy is the best dad in the entire world. He plays Barbies with us, lets us paint his nails when we want to play salon, Plays Dress up with us and allows us to put makeup on him and even paint his entire face. He is always there for us. Snuggles us when we are sick or had a bad dream, used to take us on walks up to the park, bike rides, picnics, he has had three back surgeries, and he still got up on our Trampoline and jumped with us, our daddy has been in a lot of pain since before I was born and he has always put us first, always and pushed his pain aside. Our daddy deserves all the happiness in the entire world. All we want is for our daddy to be okay. Not have pain anymore, and to be able to be himself again. This trip to the Mayo Clinic is extremely important to us all because without it , we will loose him. Please help us help him.
- Matthew is and has always been a Devoted , Loving, Caring, Layed Back, Romantic, Intelligent, Creative, Incredible Husband for the past 15 years of my Life. He has always always put all of our children and myself first before his own needs. He has struggled through his entire adult life with severe pain in the back. He has been put through some very painful Surgeries. He deserves to know what exactly is going on with his own body . He deserves all the happiness this world can bring him. Matthew has lost his smile, his laughter, and we all miss it so very much. He is no longer able to ride a bike, go on walks, Play on the playground, he is no longer able to really do anything currently with the risk of him falling and being severely hurt. He is the type of man that puts everyone else before his very own needs. He hid his symptoms of being unbalanced and wierd in the body and mind for 4 months before I got it out of him, why? Because he did not want to add to the stress we already endure in the family with our youngest daughter whom has Celiac Disease (Severely) whom see's Gastro, Diagnostic, Infectious & DIsease, Food Therapy, Cancer & Blood Disorder Center at Blank Hospital ( She graduated out of 11+ months go . The very moment I got it out of him , we began our Journey to figure out what exactly is taking his life from him . We pray to the Heavens above that this is temporary and can be fixed or treated. But no one can tell us anything other then what exactly exists in his Brain , and the fact that they are puzzled and have no idea .
We want to thank everyone for there continious prayers and just ask to keep praying for Matthew. He is far too young 43 yrs old to have this happen to him , far too good of a man to go through such scary situations, this man deserves so much happiness and me and our girls will do absolutely anything and everything to make sure he smiles again, laughs again , and feels normal again to enjoy all the blessings in life god has given to those in this world.
